Biography
Lina Malshy is a Palestinian film and media composer, violinist, and orchestrator whose work blends her deep roots in Arabic music with a passion for cinematic storytelling. A graduate of Berklee College of Music’s Film Scoring program, Lina has composed original scores for award-winning short films such as Old Decorations (2024) by Rami Fahel, the documentary For 20 Shekel (2025), and numerous independent projects.

Lina's professional experience spans across composition, orchestration, and music preparation. She is currently an intern at Fine Line Music Service, a premier music preparation company for film and television, where she continues to sharpen her skills in orchestration and score production for large-scale media projects. She has also worked as a composer’s assistant and music preparer on films like El Año Decisivo (2023) with composer Melqu Alvarez and Beyond Doubt (2024) with Anne-Marie Keane, handling orchestration, copying, and live session logistics.​ At Berklee, Lina served as the Screen Scoring Department Assistant, overseeing more than 80 recording sessions and collaborating with visiting composers including Mike Post and Nainita Desai.
As a violinist, she focuses on Arabic music performance and has performed at the United Nations with the NYAO, alongside Grammy-winning artists Naseem Al Atrash and Eugene Friesen. Her playing can also be heard on Ubisoft's Assassin’s Creed Mirage soundtrack.

Lina is passionate about bridging cultures through music and amplifying underrepresented stories, both through her scores and her presence in the studio.
